How is it suitable
for most people
even with low bone density?

There is an implant system that allows 90% of patients to get fixed teeth with implants, even if they were not suitable for implants before. Our mission is to help people with these problems to live a full life with beautiful, fixed teeth.

DENTURES

Receive permanent fixed teeth regardless of how long you've been wearing dentures.

LOW BONE DENSITY

You can still benefit even if you've previously been refused implant treatment.

DENTAL PHOBIA

IV sedation eliminates fear and anxiety before and during treatment.

DIABETES / GUM DISEASE

These conditions don't necessarily preclude you from receiving treatment.

How is it possible?
The science behind the treatment

The main concept is based on the fact that even if there is severe bone loss(due to diabetes or the menopause, for example) it is mostly the spongy bone which recedes, and as conventional implants are fixed in spongy bone, bone recession renders their installation impossible.

In most cases there is still enough hard bone left in the deeper layers beyond the spongy bone to support a special type of implant (bi-cortical) as they are fixed in that hard bone which gives strong stability immediately after the implantation.
How can they reach the hard bone which is deeper?

These types of implants consist of one piece (no abutment, healing screw, etc) and typically thinner and longer than a conventional implants, so they can be used for hard-to-reach bone where a traditional implant would not be suitable.

Our implantologists use the BCS® and KOS® implants from these implant series. which are premium quality Swiss products.

BCS® implants have a special design that allows them to reach the deeper layers of the bone, where they develop strong stability immediately after insertion. They are most commonly used when the bone is soft and only the deepest layers of bone are present to provide adequate stability.

KOS® implants are more similar to traditional implants, but they are also made of one piece, often with a gold surface, to achieve better bone integration. In this implant, the screws are designed to form a compression layer around the implant for immediate stability. This implant is mainly used in the lower jawbone when the bone is adequate.

No sinus lifts
and bone grafts
Unnecessary
with this sytem

The sinus is located above the pre-molar and molar teeth. The bone in the area below the sinus is relatively thin in normal circumstances so people suffering from bone recession in this area are unable to receive implants without a sinus lift and bone graft, which involves raising the sinus membrane and grafting bone onto existing bone, as illustrated.

Immediate loaded implants, as can be seen in the illustration , can be fitted at an angle of up to 30 degrees, thereby avoiding the sinus area and the need for a sinus lift and bone graft.

This type of minimally invasive implant surgery (or ‘flapless’ implant surgery, to use the technical term) has been used in dentistry for over 30 years and is a largely pain free method that does not cause any bleeding.

The patient has a local anaesthetic or IV (conscious) sedation and in the vast majority of cases no additional pain medication is necessary.

Due to the special design of the implants and the stabilizing role of the bridge, this system has been specifically developed for full jaw/mouth restorations. In order to create the proper stability, 8-10 implants per jawbone are needed. A few days later the bridge is fitted to connect and stabilize the implants.

Our world-class implantologist

and his team

The treatment is done in Hungary and is carried out by Dr. Attila Székely. Dr. Attila was one of the first to start using this implant technique back in the 2000's. Since then we can say that he is one of the most recognized names in this system. He works exclusively with this system and has placed over 15,000 implants in the last 20 years, making him one of the most experienced implantologists today. This number is interesting not only because it is uniquely high, but also because in most cases he has performed implants for patients who have been rejected from other implant surgeries.

Dr. Attila is the principal dentist and main owner of a complex of 7 practices in Hungary with its own dental laboratory. The jewel in the crown is the 3-storey state-of-the-art clinic where these implant treatments are performed.

1.
Consultation in London

Interactive 3D graphics

Dr. Attila is not only the principal dentist of the Hungarian clinics, but since 2015 he has also established his own clinic in London, where he visits regularly every 2-3 weeks.

The OPG X-ray or CT scan scans, consultations with Dr Attila or his colleagues are done in London (173 Kentish Town Rd., London, NW1 8PD). The consultation costs £100 which includes a Panoramic X-ray also!

2.
Treatment in Hungary

X-rays

The treatment is a major teamwork, with a group of 6-10 professionals working together. The treatment starts with the extraction of the teeth (if necessary) and the insertion of the implants. If only one jawbone is involved, 8-10 implants are placed, if both of them need to be restored, a total of 16-20 implants are inserted.

The entire treatment usually takes 2.5-3 hours, during which local anaesthesia and IV sedation are used by highly experienced anaesthetists, making the treatment almost painless. Following this, an impression of the implants is taken and within 4-5 days the final bridge is made and placed on the implants.

The patient will then stay in Hungary for a few more days for further check-ups, after which they can travel home.

3.
Aftercare, Check-up in London

Interactive 3D graphics

It's true that patients can eat and smile happily with fixed teeth after the first treatment, but the aftercare and check-ups are extremely important!

6 months after the treatment they need to return to Hungary but after this all the yearly check ups can be done in London.

We have great news for you. Even though you are not eligible for conventional implants our world-class implantologists offer a ground-breaking procedure that makes dental restoration possible for almost every patient. It is even suitable for people who have previously refused implantation procedures due to severely atrophied jaw bones and bone recession. In cases of bone recession (due to diabetes or the menopause, for example) it is mostly the spongy bone which recedes and as conventional implants are fixed in spongy bone, bone recession renders their installation impossible. The special bi-cortical implants used by our world-class implantologists are fixed in the layer of hard bone beyond the spongy bone and as a result are not soley dependent on spongy bone for their stability.

"Are additional surgeries like sinus lift or bone graft necessary?"

It is possible to avoid these surgeries: there is the 5 day implant system as a solution. See how »

These specially developed implants can be fitted at an angle of up to 30 degrees, thereby avoiding the sinus area and the need for a sinus lift and bone graft. They are suitable even for those who have severe bone recession without waiting for months to be completed. These thinner and longer implants are inserted into the layer of hard bone beyond the spongy bone, which layer is still strong enough in most people to support implants even for those with insufficient spongy bone.

"Do I have to travel abroad for the check-ups and aftercare?"

No, both are available at our Clinic in London. Read more »

Our patients who have undergone successful implant therapy have to receive systematic and continuous care as per our protocol. Careful monitoring and early intervention can usually prevent complications and maximises the longevity of your new teeth so we advise to continue regular follow-ups which are available at our Clinic in London without the need of having to travel abroad.

"I have dental phobia."

Modern dental technologies that eliminate pain and fear are widely available. Read more »

Long and more serious dental treatments (like the Swiss 5 day implantation) is usually carried out under IV (conscious) sedation. The aim of the IV sedation is to eliminate all anxieties and fear during the treatment. The great advantage of the IV sedation is that you are awake during the treatment and you are only in a relaxed state, you can communicate with the dentist and you feel that the time spent in the dental chair is much less than it really is.

"How painful the treatment is?"

This is a largely pain free method that does not cause any bleeding. See why »

Great! Please send it to us and we will get back to you within a few days with a detailed treatment plan. Read more »

We need your OPG x-ray in order to find the most suitable option for your dental problem since every case is different and there are many factors your implant specialist needs to be aware of. Based on this our implant specialists drawing upon the range of available implant systems will provide you with the solution best suited to you.

You can send us your OPG x-ray by email (info@tibordental.com).

"I have diabetes, can I receive implants?"

Yes, you can. When diabetes is under well control, implant procedures are perfectly safe. See why »

While it’s true that those with diabetes may require special pre- and post-implant care in order to maximize success, when diabetes is under well control, implant procedures are safe and predictable with a very low complication rate similar to that of healthy patients. All of our implantologists have at least 15 years’ experience and because they deal daily with people who have a wide variety of complex dental issues they have extensive practical experience, including treating diabetic patients.
